Important announcement

Hello,

The ClujShorts International Short Film Festival, which is in its 8th edition and which was scheduled to take place between the 3rd and 12th of April 2020, is partially cancelled.

All the organizers, the volunteers, the partners and the sponsors, all those involved in the good organizing and conduct of this festival, understand that the state of affairs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic puts us in a position to work together in order to combat this virus. Due to the current epidemiological situation worldwide, all public activities within this festival are canceled. By civic spirit, but also due to the legal restrictions that have been imposed by the national and international authorities, the ClujShorts International Short Film Festival will change the way it performs for this year's edition. Thus, we want to comply with all the legal requirements to combat this virus and to encourage the population to protect themselves as much as possible and to stay in isolation. We are all responsible and accountable, as a community, of our own well-being and that of our fellow citizens. All the events that would have been based on mass gatherings are canceled for the moment, with the possibility of being resumed at a later date which is still undetermined.

From a legal point of view, as the state of emergency was already declared in most of the countries of the world, our activities with the public are strictly forbidden. Nevertheless, the judging of the short films and the awarding of the prizes will still take place.

The winners will be announced on the festival website and on the facebook page. The list of prizes that will be awarded at this edition of ClujShorts will be announced publicly on the 12th of April 2020, according to the initial schedule of the Award Gala.

We hope that together we can overcome this world condition as soon as possible and resume our normalcy as soon as possible. Kind thoughts from the ClujShorts team.
